Boiling Crab Restaurant
The Boiling Crab Restaurant is located along the National Hi-way at Bgy. Bangyas, Calauan, Laguna. Aside from crabs, shrimps, crayfish and oysters, this seafood restaurant also serves Filipino dishes such as Crispy Pata, Kare-Kare and Sinigang. The menu was varied and there were many dishes to choose from. We wanted to try the house special, which was of course the crab.
We ordered the Boiling Crab with Thai Chili Sauce. It was priced at PhP 799, good for 2-3 persons. Eating it was a mess because you really had to use your hands to get the crab meat from the shell, but it was worth it! The crab meat was fresh and soft and the chilli was not overwhelming. For groups of 5-6 persons, the boiling crab with original sauce costs PhP 1,499.
For the kids who were allergic, to seafood we ordered Lechon Kawali (fried pork belly), Sisig and Buttered Vegetables. The main dishes were priced from PhP250-350.
Overall, it was a nice experience to dine at this restaurant. The service was fast and efficient (we only waited for about 15 minutes for the food to be served) and it was fun digging into the crabs. We are already planning to go back to the Boiling Crab Restaurant so we can try the other seafood dishes like the crayfish and oyster.
