Casa San Pablo Inn is a charming country inn located at the heart of San Pablo, Laguna. Given the chance, I would really love to experience its wonder and charms. It is such a lovely place that artists gather here for inspiration. In fact, the Sabado Group (a group of visual artists headed by the famoun Malang) has come here to inspire their creative pursuits.
The inn's unique rooms are testaments to the place's artistry and creativity. The inn's 11 guest rooms are uniquely designed and no two rooms are alike. Antique and vintage pieces decorate the rooms, adding depth and interest. There are also two stand-alone casitas that can accommodate up to 12 persons, and two function rooms that can accommodated 16-20 people.
To have an idea of a room's interior, I quote the following from Casa San Pablo's website:
"Room 2: This room is named after a collection of miniature cars. A little less than a hundred Hot Wheels cars are encased in collector’s boxes that double up as side tables and works of art on the walls. The bedroom floor has an inlay of weathered railroad tracks and brick. Designed by Ugu Bigyan, the bathroom walls are lined with clay leaves creating a forest in the washroom.
An alcove is set off from the rest of the room; it is decorated with antique wall clocks and a wall of mirrors. The room accommodates six people—three in the main area, one in the alcove, and two on the loft above. All are single beds. The beds on the loft are floor beds. Room is airconditioned with toilet and bath."
Now that we look forward to staying in one of the uniquely designed rooms, what else can we expect to do and experience at Casa San Pablo?
On top of the list is swimming. There are two pools in the inn that follow the shape of a natural lagoon. You can splash around to your heart's content. There are hammocks scattered around the place, where you can quietly read a book, listen to music, or just laze around and relax. For outdoor activity, your group can play ball games such as volleyball, basketball or badminton; just rent the ball from the inn.
The inn offers massage services, just inform the staff 3 hours before you want the service. You can avail of the massage in the comfort of your room, or have foot massage in the garden.
Prices range from P400 for foot massage to P500/hour for Swedish or Shiatsu, P800 for fruit body scrub, and P1,200 for lava stone massage.
The most interesting activity here is stargazing. If the weather is fine, torches are lit in the garden and mats are laid out so guests can gaze and wonder at the stars and the moon or wait for and wish on a shooting star.
