MANILA, Philippines - After gaining the support of over 20 local politicians in Cebu, Lakas-Kampi CMD standard bearer Gilbert Teodoro now counts Laguna Gov. Teresita "Ningning"  Lazaro  and majority of Laguna mayors among his supporters as they pledged to bring in the votes for the administration bet.

Lazaro said Teodoro has a big chance of winning the majority of Laguna's votes since 25 of the local candidates running for mayor in Laguna are supporting the Lakas Kampi standard bearer.

Among the incumbent Laguna mayors who are running for reelection under Lakas-Kampi-CMD are Joaquin Chipeco Jr of Calamba City, Arlene Arcillas-Nazareno of Sta. Rosa City, Eladio Magampon of Alaminos, Cesar Sulbit of Liliw, Dwight Kampitan of Victoria, Florcelie Esguerra of Cavinti, Emmanuel Acomular of Famy, Vipops Charles Martinez of Pakil, Helen Rodillas of Majayjay, Gerardo Fader of Mabitac, Wilfredo Paraiso of Lumban, Manuel Rondilla of Luisiana, Teodoro Adao, Jr. of Kalayaan.

The incumbent vice mayors who are running for mayor under Lakas-Kampi-CMD are Nelson Osuna of Nagcarlan, Antonio Aurelio of Rizal, Edgardo Ramos of Pila and Paul Simon Go of Siniloan.
Other incumbent mayors in their last terms are running for other positions like Cesar Perez of Los Baños who is running for vice governor of Laguna under Lakas-Kampi-CMD.

Lazaro is among the 51 governors, mostly from the country's vote-rich provinces, who last week signed a manifesto supporting Teodoro's presidential bid. In a manifesto of support adopted last week, Lazaro and the 50 more governors, said their decision to back Gibo was reached after careful consideration of the track record, qualifications and platform of government of each of the presidential bets in this year's national balloting.
