Who would have thought that Monday could be such a great day? Courtesy of Nuffnang Philippines and Avida Land, I had an awesome Monday in Tagaytay City. I was part of the group of Nuffnang bloggers that Avida Land invited for a project walk-through and briefing for Asilo Tagaytay, Avida Land’s first vacation home development in Tagaytay City. We spent the day in Tagaytay not only to visit the future site of Asilo, but to also enjoy the scenic views and cool climate of this popular tourist destination.

After the briefing in Avida Land’s Alabang office, we proceeded to Tagaytay for a site visit to Asilo. Going to Tagaytay from Manila (Alabang) was a breeze via the South Luzon Expressway; it only took about 45 minutes of travel. Asilo Tagaytay is conveniently located as it is very near two major highways, the Tagaytay National Highway going to Nasugbu, Batangas and the Aguinaldo Highway going to Cavite. I also noticed that this prime condominium in Tagaytay is located very near the hospital (Tagaytay Hospital and Medical Center), church (Our Lady of Lourdes Church), schools (Mater Dei Academy, Bethany Christian Academy, etc.) and places of business and leisure (Tagaytay International Convention Center, Casino Filipino, etc.). Furthermore, well-known restaurants (Antonio’s, Bag of Beans, Josephine’s, and Sonya’s Garden) and spas (Nurture Spa Village, Sonya’s Garden Spa) are very accessible from Asilo Tagaytay.
We were treated for lunch by Avida Land and Nuffnang at the Bag of Beans. It took us only 10 minutes of travel from the Asilo Tagaytay site to the restaurant.

After the sumptuous meal of roast beef with mashed potato and a hearty chocolate drink, we headed to the Nurture Spa Village for a much-needed relaxation. Nurture Spa Village exudes a calming and peaceful ambience. It’s the perfect place for unwinding and letting go of stresses.

I chose the Golden Caviar facial for a luxurious treatment. Of course it has precious caviar extract and essential vitamins. That’s why after the facial massage, I felt rejuvenated and young again.

Definitely, Asilo Tagaytay as a vacation home is perfectly and strategically located. Imagine being pampered at Nurture Spa Village as often as you want or viewing the scenic Taal Lake and Taal volcano not only during weekends but on weekdays as well. The unique Tagaytay products like flowers, fruits and delicacies can also be enjoyed at any time. That’s the convenience of having your very own condominium unit in the heart of Tagaytay City.
ABOUT ASILO TAGAYTAY
Asilo Tagaytay by Avida Land is envisioned to have two mid-rise residential towers and a low-rise building with a commercial and retail area. The architectural design, materials, finishing, and the landscaping are designed to replicate the old Tagaytay—rustic and yet contemporary.
The buildings are specifically designed to let the residents fully enjoy the natural views and the cool climate of Tagaytay in a natural setting. This is evident in the form of the structures and their terracing, which are inconspicuous parts of the overall landscape. The corridors are designed to have breezeways and there’s ample space between buildings to allow better cross-ventilation. In addition, the roof is pitched so there is a particular character that is appropriate to Tagaytay.
Asilo Tagaytay is designed to have condominium units that are more spacious than those offered in urban areas. The units are also designed in such a way that residents can enjoy the cool and refreshing climate of Tagaytay. There are more balconies in the upper floors so that residents can fully enjoy their view of Taal and the Batangas mountain range in the horizon.
Amenity and retail area
Like the rest of the development, the amenity area of Asilo Tagaytay is also designed to blend harmoniously with the setting. Its colors reflect the various hues of Tagaytay’s trees and plants. From the retail areas to the convergence areas, and even the streets—everything is intended to create a rustic, nostalgic environment that feels comfortable, homey, and familiar.
The pool and garden areas are also provided to the residents so they can totally enjoy their stay in their Asilo Tagaytay condominium units. In this way, the residents won’t have to venture far from their units to experience the unique Tagaytay vacation.
On the other hand, the concept for the retail area is very different from the usual mall. It will have courtyards and will showcase the local flavour of Tagaytay products. Once complete, Asilo Tagaytay will be a destination unto itself. It’s envisioned to be the newest hub for weekend lunches and shopping area for goods that are usually bought from the streets or market such as local delicacies, fruits, flowers, and other products that are exclusively found in Tagaytay. Thus, residents, travellers, and vacationers can enjoy the best that Tagaytay has to offer.
Asilo Tagaytay is also a prime choice for those who wish to have their own real estate investments. Condominium units in Asilo Tagaytay may be leased for a long term with the help of Avida’s Leasing Services. Like all Ayala and Avida properties, Asilo Tagaytay promotes sustainable living in harmony with the environment. It will also be managed and maintained by the Ayala Property Management Corporation, guaranteeing the residents that the property remains in top shape.
